Selling Your Business

We work behind the scenes to deliver superior results

Discretion and detail underpin the way in which Company Sales and Acquisitions operate.

We have had the time to build and maintain relationships with Auckland’s private company owners and their chartered accountants over the last 20 years, giving us the masterful edge in matching you the owner, with your right buyer. For those owners of substantial businesses personally committed to achieving a successful exit, we will dedicate our service.

We work with medium to large private companies with particular emphasis on  manufacturers, importers and service providers. We devote our time to handling each client personally, from preparation of the IM, negotiating the deal structure, right through to the Sale and Purchase Agreement and its further terms.

Getting it right the first time

Auckland’s business market has drastically changed since the global economic recession. Potential buyers more than ever, ruthlessly discard information memorandums (IMs) that don’t measure up, regardless of the business’s true quality.

This creates the need for a comprehensive analysis and presentation of your business. This will attract the right buyer and maintain their interest without undue interruption to you and your business.

When to get in touch

You may be in the very early stages of investigating how to exit your business, or you may be considering which broker to partner with. Ideally you will be reading this page two or three years before you intend to exit. We understand the fear of setting rumours alight and the time it takes to commit to beginning the process.

Our process begins by undertaking a comprehensive analysis of your business, and preparing a detailed, professional business manuscript. This enables us to market your business most effectively, with minimum disruption to you and your operation. The business will be appraised by reference to the quality of earnings, staff, markets, assets, technology, barriers to entry and our direct and ongoing involvement in the market.

We have found that owners who ‘invest’ in a couple of meetings and a little dialogue in the year or so prior to making decisions, gain tremendously from having a confidant. Who can you trust with your thoughts? We strongly recommend that you involve your chartered accountant. At anytime you can approach CSA for a confidential discussion, where you can find out more about us and how we can assist.
